About the Programs:
Since 2004, Humanitas has supported early-career writers through two flagship initiatives:
New Voices Fellowship: 79 writers across 15 cohorts have completed this six-month mentorship program, which pairs fellows with industry mentors and focuses on script development and professional readiness.
College Screenwriting Awards: Each year, two writers are selected from roughly 400 applicants representing 80 colleges nationwide. Winners receive a $20,000 cash prize, a professional notes session, and additional career support. 42 writers have won the awards since they were established.
Writers featured in the index have opted in; the index is not a comprehensive list of past or current program participants.
If you are a previous fellow/awardee who’d like to opt into this web feature, please contact Daniel Plagens, Program Manager, at daniel.plagens@humanitasprize.org.
