James Pratt was born in Norfolk, VA, but spent most of his childhood in San Diego, CA, where he studied under artists in residence from the Old Globe Theater and the La Jolla Playhouse during his high school years. He majored in Creative Producing with a focus on Screenwriting, and minored in English at Chapman University. Alongside his work as a TV development executive, James maintains his drive and passion for writing stories about the queer experience across genre and medium, specializing in comedy and horror.

A collection of cursed tales built around a cursed book entitled Mr. Oblivion that features a monster that feasts upon the fear, shame, and pain of its readers. The sinister book within the book presents its readers' worst nightmares splashed across its pages, targeting their deepest fears and insecurities, often tied to their identity and relationship with themselves. This collection of malevolent tales is a mixture of stories about this book and its namesake demon, and stories reflective of what readers in the world of the story might read within its infernal pages.
