Magdalen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with her MFA in Screenwriting. She now lives in Los Angeles with her cats Bugs and Birdie and has worked as everything from a temp doing inventory at a bookstore to a nanny to a writer's assistant. She writes character-driven scripts in a number of genres, often with a focus on characters whose stories are prone to being overlooked. She tends to find the humor in a drama or the drama in a comedy, blurring the lines between the two.
Magdalen's pilot script JUNIE SUCKS AT LIFE won the 2016 Humanitas David & Lynn Angell Comedy College Screenwriting Award and her feature ROADKILL was a Nicholl semifinalist and a semifinalist in the comedy screenplay category at the Austin Film Festival.
