  • John Doble’s screenplay THE AMEN SISTERHOOD won the Humanitas New Voices Fellowship and THE ROMMEL GAMBIT won the Big Apple Screenplay Competition. His short stories have appeared in various literary magazines and a well-reviewed collection, Lefty and Other Stories, was published by Clemson University. John’s plays include A Serious Person (Winner, Arts & Letters Prize for Drama, Georgia College) and Coffee House, Greenwich Village (LaBute New Theater Festival, St. Louis and Off-Broadway, NYC), Tatyana and the Cable Man (The Space Theatre Company, London, and winner, Best Play, Midtown Short Play Festival, NYC), Nothing New under the Sun (Winner, William Faulkner Literary Prize). His plays have appeared in FringeNYC and Hollywood Fringe and have received acclaim in numerous national competitions.
