BRIAN STAMPNITSKY BIO
Brian Stampnitsky grew up as a nerdy misfit in suburban New Jersey, where most of his time was spent watching sitcoms, reading comic books, and hiding from his hell-raising sister. So naturally, he eventually moved to far away Los Angeles to become a writer. He sold a medical drama to ABC Studios and was a staff writer on Shonda Rhimes’ Still Star-Crossed, which included two months on location in Spain. His autobiographical comedy pilot Shit Gets Real won the Humanitas New Voices Fellowship and he’s developed projects for Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Saban Brands. Hmmm, what else? Once upon a time, he served as head writer for American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, where he wrote entertainment news stories, directed Ryan Seacrest in the studio, and listened to a lot of music about going to the club and raising your hands up in the air.
