Learn More about Brian:

  • Brian Stampnitsky grew up as a nerdy misfit in suburban New Jersey, where most of his time was spent watching sitcoms, reading comic books, and hiding from his hell-raising sister. So naturally, he eventually moved to far away Los Angeles to become a writer. He sold a medical drama to ABC Studios and was a staff writer on Shonda Rhimes’ STILL STAR-CROSSED, which included two months on location in Spain. His autobiographical comedy pilot SHIT GETS REAL won the Humanitas New Voices Fellowship and he’s developed projects for Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Saban Brands. Hmmm, what else? Once upon a time, he served as head writer for AMERICAN TOP 40 WITH RYAN SEACREST, where he wrote entertainment news stories, directed Ryan Seacrest in the studio, and listened to a lot of music about going to the club and raising your hands up in the air.

  • BROKEN IN HOBOKEN - (Comedy/Mystery/Pilot)

When Ira Kaplan, a bestselling mystery writer who's been suffering from a decade-long case of writer's block, makes one last attempt to complete his unfinished novel, he's magically transported inside the world of the book, where he's forced to team up with the story's private eye -- based on his endearingly irritating father -- to solve the novel's murder; break his writer's block; and return home. Think ONLY MURDERS meets ADAPTATION

    SHIT GETS REAL - (Comedy/Pilot)

After Ben and Emma meet at a Brooklyn dinner party, they spend five weeks laughing and smiling and sexing. But their honeymoon phase comes to a sudden end when a major health crisis threatens to tear them apart. Based on a true story... mostly.

    FAR EAST SIDE - (Action/Adventure/Pilot)

In Feudal Japan, an elite female ninja (kunoichi) is slain by a rival Samurai... and is reincarnated as a cool young twenty-something in modern-day Los Angeles. As she discovers her awesome legacy and death-defying fighting skills, she joins forces with her LAPD detective sister to fight present-day criminals and archenemies from the past.
