About the Event

Since 1974, The Humanitas Prizes have honored professional film and television writers whose work explores the human condition in a nuanced and meaningful way.

Humanitas will host The Humanitas Prizes Award Show & Toast on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Avalon Hollywood where the 2025 Humanitas Prize winners and nominees will be recognized.

Recipients of the 2025 New Voices Fellowship, the David and Lynn Angell College Comedy Award, and the Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award will also be recognized.

At the event, winners will receive trophies and there will be a program with remarks.

Funds raised at The Humanitas Prizes Awards Show & Toast event provide essential support for The Humanitas Prizes, New Voices Fellowship, College Screenwriting Awards, and Public Programs, like Groceries for Writers, The Writers Room, and Industry 101.
