HUMANITAS Trustee Vince Gilligan's 'Breaking Bad' Celebrates 10 Years with AMC Marathon
Just like The Sopranos, The Shield or Mad Men did, Breaking Bad left its mark on the antihero genre as well as on the history of TV in general.
Chemistry teacher Walter White has been morphing into implacable meth dealer Heisenberg for ten years now. To celebrate this anniversary, AMC, who released five near-perfect seasons of Breaking Bad, is offering subscribers the opportunity to binge-watch the entire series' 62 episodes.
The marathon will start on December 31 (from the first episode to season two, episode three), and will carry on every weekend until January 29.
AMC has already started the promotion of the event via an extract of the cult scene in which White is having breakfast in a diner all alone.
The number 52 (White's age) is replaced with a 10 made out of bacon. Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, also came up with a logo specifically for the occasion.
