HUMANITAS Trustee Brad Falchuk Inks Deal with 20th TV
American Horror Story and Scream Queens co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk has closed a new rich three-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he has been for almost a decade.
Under the deal, said to be in the eight figures, Falchuk will continue his duties on three series for the studio — Fox’s Scream Queens, recently renewed for a second season, on which Falchuk serves as showrunner; as well as FX’s American Horror Story, recently renewed for Season 6, and breakout spinoff American Crime Story, which Falchuk executive produces. On all three, Falchuk is working alongside frequent collaborator [HUMANITAS Winner] Ryan Murphy. Additionally, under the pact Falchuk will develop new network and cable projects for the studio.
“Brad has been an excellent partner to our studio,” said 20th TV Group Chairman and CEO Dana Walden. “He is a hugely talented writer and director who has been integral to the creation of two of the most iconic and successful shows in recent television history. We love working with him and are very happy that he will continue to call 20th Century Fox Television his professional home.”
Falchuk has been working closely with Murphy since he became a staff writer on Murphy’s hit FX drama Nip/Tuck. Falchuk rose to executive producer on that series, and later co-created with Murphy and Ian Brennan 20th TV’s Glee which ran for six seasons on Fox.
