HUMANITAS Studio Partner Tara Flynn Promoted at Fox 21
In one of the first exec moves at Fox 21 Television Studios, Tara Flynn has been upped to VP of creative affairs.
Flynn’s promotion comes on the heels of the merger of 20th Century Fox TV’s Fox 21 and Fox Television Studios production units. Flynn had worked closely with Fox 21 chief [fellow HUMANITAS Studio Partner] Bert Salke, who was tapped to lead the combined entity earlier this month.
The new post calls for Flynn to work with writers on comedy and drama development as well as oversee current series and nurture talent and ideas for new shows.
“I met Tara years ago when she was working in production on a pilot I was making,” said Salke. “Right away it was clear to me that she was a star, and she’s made each transition in her career seamlessly and with great results. She is a favorite of the talent we work with and truly a master of creative production.”
At Fox 21 Flynn worked on “Homeland,” “Sons of Anarchy,” “Brickleberry,” “Salem” and “Legends,” among other shows. She’s also been shepherding development projects with Chernin Entertainment and New Regency.
